This devotional blog features the top 365 lessons I want to pass along to my daughter. It is intended for daughters who want to draw near Daddy God’s heart as they read through the Bible, and for fathers who want to disciple their daughters in a special, loving way. My intent is that you learn key messages for a daughter’s heart or have a tool to teach these messages to a daughter.
In addition to this site, I am recording my daughter’s very own, personalized audio Bible for her, entirely narrated by her father with special notes for her. When I finish, I will give it to her as a Bible she can listen to forever (like a did for her brother). At that point, she will also have listened to the whole Bible, since I am recording each reading with her.
The audio clips you find under the Bible verse for each lesson are snippets from the actual readings I do with her. You can often hear my daughter chime in with her own contributions in the background!
This blog parallels the One Year Bible. It’s designed to complement the One Year Bible readings, so you can read the whole Bible yourself and have a guide along the way (if you choose). My hope is that you grow mature in your faith through the Word of God and the teaching on the blog, that you fall in love with the Bible, and that you fall in love with your heavenly Father, who is wildly in love with you.
And my goal for my daughter is that she knows how deeply her Daddy loves her and that she falls just as deeply in love with God as I am.
